The first thing on my holiday list, which is simply a checklist of what to put in my tiny suitcase for my summer holiday, are books. This year I chose to take with me these 4 books, which I really hope will have time to read. I nearly always take more books with me than I could ever read.
The Little Teashop of Lost and Found is a cosy book. The cover of it is adorable, I like it a lot. Make a tea, grab a scone and have a read.
4 books I’m looking forward to for the second half of 2018
July is the ideal time to read this book. It’s a perfect pick if you are heading to your holiday destination too. It is an inspiring story that makes you to want to pack your stuff and go travel more.
I recently read a blog post in which the book blogger said that this book is in her top 5 so far for this year. Well on the very next day when I saw the book in the bookshop I just had to buy it! Actually I hadn’t even read the synopsis, basically I just grabbed it and went to the till.
The book is a historical fiction for young readers, which I wasn’t sure I would like because it is not my typical choice. Rarely have I read stories about wars, and this one is for WW2 but
The Memory Shop was such a cozy and charming story with the absolute perfect setting of a vintage shop.
Have you heard of Lykke, Hygge and Lagom? I bet you have, they are all Scandinavian words which have become extremely popular lately. We might find it difficult to pronounce them but that won’t stop us from trying to represent them in our lives.
Hygge is about enjoying the small things in life. I guess you already know that. No, the Danish people didn’t discover a mystic secret or the recipe for happiness. They simply enjoy it, while the rest of us perhaps find ourselves being too busy.
Buying books makes me happy which I guess is the same for many of you.
Three of these books were on my list from a long time but I have already a good few books on my bookshelf that I haven’t read so I didn’t want to buy new ones before I’ve read the ones I had. When I was reading the last one I thought it’s the perfect time to delve into buying more books!
