Besides my book obsession, I’m powerless to resist to all the beauty products on the market. I’m especially interested in skin care. With all the advertisements, beauty blogs and friend’s advice, it might be hard to pick the right product for you and with the prices of some of the products a bit overwhelming, you have to choose wisely. That’s why I think it’s handy to have all the essential information in one book.
‘The skin is an organ’ is the mantra of award-winning skincare expert Jennifer Rock, also known as The Skin Nerd. And in The Skin Nerd: The Skin is an Organ – A 360 Degrees Approach to Your Healthiest Skin she shares all the passion, knowledge and expertise she has gathered in her extensive career to bring us a beginners’ guide to healthy skin.Written with her unique brand of humour and honesty, Jennifer’s first book will be jam-packed with skinformation and advice. From the benefits of Spritz O’Clock to her Ten Skin Commandments, her core Nerd Philosophies, specific skin conditions, product ingredients, to her bestselling COM (Cleanse Off Mitt) and how to look after your skin from the inside out, The Skin Nerd: The Skin is an Organ – A 360 Degrees Approach to Your Healthiest Skin is the first step on your life-long journey to healthier skin.
Jennifer Rock aka The Skin Nerd has launched her first book The Skin Nerd for which I have been waiting a long time. They call it the new skin bible because you can find almost everything you need to know about how to treat your skin right.
I haven’t used Jennifer Rock online skin consultation service but I’m following her on FB where I like to read her skin care advice and watch her informative videos. Also I’m reading the tips she uploads on her website and find them useful. That’s why when I heard about her new book being released in September I pre ordered it in August. I just couldn’t resist, it’s a book after all and I’m a book addict…I can’t help it.
In the book you can find information about the different skin types and how to find out which is yours. How to treat your skin right according to its condition, more details about the most important skin ingredients, you can even find out the specific products she recommended for you to use.
I think that we often underestimate the condition of our skin and we used to forget that “the skin is an organ” and we have to “respect it accordingly”. Having this book makes me aware of my skin needs and I’m one step closer to have my skin healthy.
